Delivery Times & Installation
1
General
Delivery times depend on our stock and the stock of the manufacturers.
2
Testing the Printer
Each printer is tested by us for a minimum of 3 days. This causes a slight delay but provides greater assurance.
3
Printer Configuration
Printer configuration is fully handled by us. No exceptions are possible.
4
True Plug & Play
The printers are delivered plug & play. Just connect the power and network cable, and the printer is ready for use!
5
Network Cable or WiFi?
We always recommend using a network cable connection. It is more reliable than WiFi.
6
WiFi Only Option?
If a wired connection is not possible, we can set up the WiFi connection remotely, at our hourly rate.

FAQ POS Printers
Frequently asked questions about MQTT POS Printers
What is MQTT and why is it used for POS printers?
MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is a lightweight communication protocol specifically designed for efficient and reliable data transmission, even in environments with low bandwidth or unstable networks.
For POS printers, MQTT ensures faster, more stable, and secure print jobs as it handles messages directly and efficiently between the cash register and the printer.
For POS printers, MQTT ensures faster, more stable, and secure print jobs as it handles messages directly and efficiently between the cash register and the printer.
What are the benefits of MQTT over traditional printing methods?
No drivers required: Tedious driver installations are a thing of the past.
Faster processing: Print jobs are forwarded directly without delay.
Reliability: Functions even during network issues due to recovery features.
Efficiency: Less network load and lower latency than traditional protocols like HTTP or RAW TCP.
Security: Use of encrypted messages for secure data transfer.

How does MQTT work with POS printers?
The POS printer acts as an MQTT client and communicates with an MQTT broker (server).
The cash register sends a print job as an MQTT message. The broker receives the message and forwards it instantly to the appropriate printer. The printer processes the message and confirms receipt.
This allows multiple printers and cash register systems to easily communicate over the same network.

Can an existing POS printer use MQTT?
It depends on the printer. Older models without built-in MQTT support can often be connected via an MQTT print server. This print server acts as an intermediary that translates MQTT messages into a format the printer understands, such as ESC/POS or RAW data.
Is MQTT secure for POS transactions?
Yes! MQTT supports SSL/TLS encryption and advanced authentication. This ensures that print jobs are encrypted and transmitted securely. This is crucial for transactions to protect customer data and payment information.
Are these thermal POS printers?
Yes! The MQTT POS printers use a thermal print head. The lifespan of a print head is incredibly high. Additionally, they are quiet, fast, and require hardly any maintenance since there's no need for ink or toner.
